Nomination for Steel Construction Contest 2018: Vergotedok

The construction materials recycling and logistics hub on the Vergotedok in Brussels, built by Cordeel for the Port of Brussels and building materials distributor Mpro, was nominated for the Infosteel Steel Construction Award 2018.

The beautiful steel construction has already received an architectural award and has now been recognised by the steel construction industry. It was a unique project, not least because Cordeel delivered the steel elements by barge.

* The annual Steel Construction Contest is an initiative of Infosteel, a membership association representing the entire steel construction chain in Belgium and Luxembourg.

New energy-neutral building for Antwerp's operational city services

On the Havanasite in the north of Antwerp, a new energy-neutral building will soon arise. It will serve as the main base for most of the operational services of the city of Antwerp. The realization of this new building has been awarded to Team 't Noord, consisting of Cordeel Belgium, Van Roey, Binst architects, and AAVO architects.

Social housing site 'Strijdros' officially inaugurated

In Evere, today the Brusselse Gewestelijke Huisvestingsmaatschappij (BGHM) and Comensia inaugurated 130 new social housing units. The Strijdros (Destrier) project, realized by Cordeel Belgium, not only comprises 130 social housing units but also a high-quality communal facility, featuring new premises for the Maison Coopérative Destrier.
