Barry Callebaut’s Chocolate Academy in Lebbeke
Some 25 years ago, Barry Callebaut opened a chocolate academy in Wieze, a sub-municipality of Lebbeke in East Flanders. We built a completely new chocolate academy – the biggest in the world – for this client, where more than a thousand chocolate makers and pastry chefs refine their skills each year.

Callebaut, founded in Wieze in 1911, has grown into the largest chocolate manufacturer in the world. The company invested 4.5 million euros in the new flagship academy. The result is a high-tech, state-of-the-art building in chocolate colours with four classrooms, a kitchen for top chefs, an auditorium, a library and, of course, a tasting centre.
