Official foundation stone ceremony marks new milestone for RZ Tienen

On Friday, June 19, an important step was taken in the realization of the new healthcare campus of RZ Tienen. With the official foundation stone ceremony, this ambitious project, which aims to future-proof healthcare infrastructure in the region, is steadily taking shape. As a partner in the temporary joint venture with Vanderstraeten, Cordeel Belgium is proud to contribute to the construction of this new healthcare environment.

The foundation stone ceremony represents a symbolic milestone in the development of the project and brings together construction partners, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and local stakeholders around a shared ambition: creating a modern, sustainable, and patient-centred hospital campus for the Tienen region.

Official ceremony with distinguished guests

The festivities started at 2:30 p.m. with an official ceremony and the symbolic laying of the foundation stone. Several distinguished speakers addressed the audience during the programme, including Nancy Vansteenkiste, CEO of RZ Heilig Hart Tienen, Jonathan Holslag, Mayor of the City of Tienen, and Frank Vandenbroucke, Minister of Public Health.

The commemorative plaque marking the foundation stone ceremony was also officially unveiled. The event concluded with a reception where attendees celebrated this important milestone together.
