Cordeel Belgium starts construction of BIOMED-VISION at Health Campus Limburg DC

Cordeel Belgium is proud to contribute as a construction partner to the realization of BIOMED-VISION, a new research complex of UHasselt at the Health Campus Limburg DC in Diepenbeek. This Design & Build project highlights the ambition to further develop the campus into a leading environment for biotechnological and medical research.

At the beginning of March, the symbolic laying of the first stone took place. During this moment, a first column of C-concrete was installed, marking the official start of the construction works.

The new building will have an area of approximately 3,100 m² and will consist of five floors. BIOMED-VISION will be connected to the existing research institute BIOMED-UHasselt and represents a significant expansion of the research infrastructure on campus.

With this project, UHasselt is strongly committed to the further development of advanced technology platforms, including applications for microscopy, cellular analysis, and data science. In addition, the building will create new opportunities for collaboration between researchers and companies by giving biotech partners access to high-quality infrastructure.

An important addition is the integration of the Limburg Clinical Research Center (LCRC), which will have a physical presence on the campus for the first time. With consultation rooms for patient-oriented research, a bridge is created between science and clinical practice.

As Design & Build partner, Cordeel Belgium is responsible for the entire process from design to execution. We are particularly proud to be able to realize this project.

The project is scheduled for completion by the summer of 2027.
